Greyhound Adventures is committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of individual's information that is submitted to us as part of our business transactions.

Our Privacy Policy also applies to any information about you that is provided to us by a 3rd party operator, such as a travel agent or any other person who is transacting business with us on your behalf.

We may collect personal information about you when you deal with us over the telephone, send us correspondence (whether by letter, fax or email), visit our websites, enter competitions or when you have contact with us in person.

Personal information you provide may be disclosed to third parties only as is permitted by law.

The personal information you provide is used to supply you with travel products and services and may be used for other related purposes such as;

  • As required by travel industry rules and regulations
  • Internal accounting and management requirements
  • Keeping you informed of latest products and services or
  • To assist us with market research

Disclosure of any personal information to a third party

We may disclose your personal information to third parties, for example, to our contractors to whom we contract certain services (within Australia and overseas) who are involved in your travel arrangements especially when we are acting as an agent for that party.

We may also disclose your personal information to various law enforcement agencies and governments around the world for security purposes.

We engage third party contractors to perform services for us which involves the contractor handling personal information we hold.

These other parties will have legal restrictions placed upon them as we have to protect your personal information, however we cannot guarantee their behaviour.

On request, we can provide you with access to the information we hold about you, unless there is an exception which applies under the National Privacy Principles, including for the purpose of correcting or updating that information. In doing so we may charge to you, the reasonable costs of supplying you with access to this information.

If failure or refusal to provide you with access to the information occurs, we will provide you with reasons for the refusal and inform you of any exceptions relied upon under the National Privacy Principles.

We endeavour to ensure that your personal information is accurate, complete, and up-to-date whenever we collect or use it. For any inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date information we will take reasonable steps to either correct this information, or if necessary, discuss alternative action with you.
