This area is full of history, during the turn of the century the river contained the first timber mills and was used by Aboriginal people for ceremonial purposes.

The river winds up to huge sand dunes with views over the Pacific Ocean. The waters of the river offer the most outstanding reflections of paperbark, bloodwood and cotton trees that overhang the river banks creating an atmosphere of utmost tranquillity. Be amazed as you float down the river in your canoe.
